Training videos for window cleaning and house washing crews.
17 clips from the company Steve Meitler ran before CEOHero, filmed on real houses for real new hires: how the door knock goes, how each service gets explained to a homeowner, how to count a bid, and what happens on the job. Free for any cleaning business to use with its own crew.
At the door
How the knock goes, from the flyer drop to a signed agreement.
Flyer orientation
4:16Everything a new flyer person needs on their first day: the two approved ways to leave a flyer on a door, what is never allowed, how the GPS tracker works, and how doors get counted against the 350 and 500 marks.
Initial pitch
2:30The knock from the homeowner's side of the door. Name drop, group rate, the mortar demo, the either-or question, then the fast close: count the windows now and knock on the back door with the number.
Door-to-door pitch, 10 doors an hour
2:56The same pitch at pace, ending with the scheduled close: take a name and number, tell them the office reaches out in a couple of days, and set the “if you like the price, schedule us” frame.
Long door-to-door pitch
11:47Four back-to-back run-throughs of the full pitch. Use it to memorize the flow: shadow it out loud until you can do the whole door without looking.
Closing the house wash
8:32The full close on a house wash: walking the house and pointing at what comes out, before-and-after photos, the $899 anchor and $599 group rate, the availability call to the office, the agreement initials, and the 25% deposit.
Explaining the services
What each service actually covers, and what it does not, in the words to use in front of the customer.
What the window cleaning includes
2:14Every exterior pane hand polished, screens pulled and brushed, frames wiped. Also why the water-fed pole most companies use leaves streaking on the glass.
House wash, explained and priced
7:15Brick or stucco in the bidding software, how the square footage sets the price, what the wash takes off the walls, and the expectations to set before you give a number.
What a house wash does not include
0:52Mold, algae, lichen and moss come off. Hard water stains do not. Point at both on the wall while you are standing there, so nobody is surprised after the job.
How the driveway gets cleaned
2:25Treat the grass with a neutralizing agent first, then pressure wash the whole driveway, the front walkway and the porch. Says plainly where the job starts and stops, so the bid matches the work.
What driveway cleaning does not include
0:37Rust stains and oil stains stay. Only organic staining, mold, algae, lichen and dirt, comes off. Saying it at the estimate keeps the callback off your calendar.
Counting the bid
Every quote starts with a count. These four get two people to the same number on the same house.
Counting panes: the window types
4:16What counts as one pane and what counts as two, from double hung windows to the long skinny ones, with the count walked out loud on a real house.
Counting a whole house, with a quiz
5:34A full walk-around counting all five categories: panes, French panes, screens, tracks and solar screens. Grab paper, tally along, and check your numbers against the count at the end.
Counting practice: five categories
4:57A second house, counted out loud category by category, including when a missing screen becomes a track.
Counting practice: a simple house
2:55A short, easy house to warm up on before you count a bid that matters.
On the job
What the tech does before the first window is touched, and what gets asked before they leave.
Tech pitch
2:41The lead tech's three-point walkthrough before the first window is touched: confirm the work order and price, walk the house for pop seals, scratches and cracks, and state the two goals.
15 minutes before completion
2:34The review and referral ask while the screens go back in: five stars that name the techs, and the free-cleaning nominee story that earns three names and numbers.
Long window video
21:00A full, uncut window cleaning job from start to finish. Watch the order of operations and the pace.
